I Love xkcd

Today, I would like to blog about something else than travelling for once. I would like to present my favourite web comic xkcd.

The author himself defines xkcd as a webcomic of romance, sarcasm, math, and language. It is really funny, even if you probably have to be a bit of a nerd (or at least have to know a bit of mathematics) in order to fully appreciate all the jokes. This is also illustrated by my favorite comics about mathematics:

However, already the disclaimer on each page says:

This comic occasionally contains strong language (which may be unsuitable for children), unusual humor (which may be unsuitable for adults), and advanced mathematics (which may be unsuitable for liberal-arts majors).

Of course, I am not the only one who likes this comic. For example, one fan used the tribute of xkcd to the Discovery Channel (which brings us to the answer to the question why I presented their two ads in my previous blog entry), and made it into a great YouTube video: "I Love xkcd".

Finally, I would like to present my favorite xkcd comic. It rather makes fun of mathematician (and physicist), but (being a mathematician) I have to admit: Oh, so true!
