Durmitor National Park ist one of the most beautiful regions of the Montenegrin mountains – or, at least, one of the most visited: Daily, hundreds of tourists are taken here by bus from the coast. At Crno Jezero, they get out for maybe half an hour, before returning back to the coast. However, there is much more to explore here!

I went hiking on several (mid-altitude) trails, and visited several karst lakes in the region.

Some of the trails were not that easy to find. Therefore, I have marked them on the map below (red for the trail around Crno Jezero, green for the trail to Jablan Jezero and Zminje Jezero, and blue for the trail to Crepulj Poljana, respectively).
