In September 2011, I spent a week in Kraków and the High Tatras. Now, some short blog entries are finally available telling more about this trip.

In July 2011, I finally returned to Norway (more than six years after my first visit). This time, I stayed for two weeks, and visited the south of the country (Bergen, Sognefjord, Jotunheimen National Park, Stavanger, and Lysefjord). Once again, I was stunned by the beauty of the Norwegian landscape.

In June 2011, I visited Montenegro again (after my first stay in September 2010). This time, I spent ten days there, during which I discovered the true gem of the country: its mountains which are mostly untouched by tourism.

In mid-September 2010, I travelled along the Adriatic coast of Southern Croatia and Montenegro for ten days. Now, my travel diary is finally ready.

From May 8, to May 30, 2010, I was travelling in United States on the "Best of the West" tour offered by Trek America. Although the group was older than expected (with an average age of about 50), the mix worked really well – in fact, even better than I could have wished for. So, the age did not really matter after all.
What turned out to be (much) worse than expected, though, was the weather. We experienced pretty much everything you can imagine: from hail to rain to snow, from sunshine to strong winds (including a snow storm, and a sand storm). Despite these adverse conditions, however, it was a really great holiday.

After having spent more than two weeks back in Austria, I am slowly feeling at home again. I am already looking for a new job, but I still enjoy looking back on my RTW trip (e.g. when leafing through my pictures). Furthermore, I finally know exactly how much I spent while travelling – which was, fortunately, less than anticipated. Continue reading

After 26 flights, 42 boat trips, 13 train rides and countless travels in buses and other ground transport (e.g. bicycle, subway, hitch-hiking, rental car or taxi), and travelling almost 62000 km by air, about 1000 km by sea, and probably around 16000 km by land, I have finally returned to Austria. Now, it is time to look back at the high- and lowlights of my trip. Continue reading

Just over three months after my return from my trip to Patagonia, I have finally managed to finish my online diary (in German) of this trip. Supported by numerous pictures, this diary tells of my experiences during my holiday in this region which is indeed blessed with lots of unspoilt nature and a beautiful landscape.
Yesterday, I returned back in Austria from my holidays in Patagonia. Now, I will take advantage of the three days off that I have still left in order to go through the 3000 pictures I took during my stay. Hopefully in the near future, some of these will also be shown here on this website.
