Farewell Spit"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<p>In order to avoid hiking in the rain, I made a detour to the far northwest of the South Island, and visited the Farewell Spit.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>This sandy headland is quite similar to the <a href=\"https:\/\/bernies-journeys.at\/en\/2012\/06\/14\/heute-im-kombi-angebot-wald-sand-und-meer\/\">Curonian Spit<\/a>, it
