{"id":1928,"date":"2015-08-30T17:00:43","date_gmt":"2015-08-30T15:00:43","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/bernies-journeys.at\/?p=1928"},"modified":"2021-10-24T19:20:10","modified_gmt":"2021-10-24T17:20:10","slug":"transdanubien-von-oben","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/bernies-journeys.at\/en\/2015\/08\/30\/transdanubien-von-oben\/","title":{"rendered":"Transdanubia from above"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Today, I visited the sky terrace on the 60<sup>th<\/sup>&nbsp;floor of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.dctowers.at\/\" class=\"www\"><abbr title=\"Donaucity\">DC<\/abbr>&nbsp;Tower<\/a> together with some friends.<!--more--><\/p>\n  <div class=\"wp-bkab-quer_re wp-caption alignright single-image\">\n  <p class=\"image\">\n   <a href=\"img_1476\/\" class=\"lightbox-link\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"img360x240\" src=\"..\/..\/..\/..\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/IMG_1476-360x240.jpg\" width=\"360\" height=\"240\" alt=\"[Foto]\" title=\"Kaiserwasser\" \/><\/a>\n  <\/p>\n  <p class=\"wp-caption-text\">\n   Kaiserwasser\n  <\/p>\n  <\/div>\n\n<p>We ended up there more or less by change: Originally, we wanted to go to <span xml:lang=\"de\" lang=\"de\">Donauturm<\/span>. However, the parking lot there was full, so we continued on to the DC&nbsp;Tower. The viewing platform turned out to be a worthy subsitute: Even though the views of the inner city were not that good (as there is a restaurant and bar on side of the building facing the city), the views of Transdanubia (the eastern part of Vienna, across the Danube) were great.
