Fortunately, the main pit is very large, so the tourists do spread out a bit. Standing in front of the rows of soldiers, one cannot quite believe that all this effort was made just to create an army for the afterlife of Q\u00edn Sh\u01d0hu\u00e1ngd\u00ec, the First Emperor of China. If you keep in mind that this was done more than 2200&nbsp;years ago, it is even more incredible.<\/p>\n  <div class=\"wp-bkab-quer_li wp-caption alignleft single-image\">\n  <p class=\"image\">\n   <a href=\"img_2618\/\" class=\"lightbox-link\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"img360x240\" src=\"..\/..\/..\/..\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/IMG_2618-360x240.jpg\" width=\"360\" height=\"240\" alt=\"[Foto]\" title=\"Pit&nbsp;2\" \/><\/a>\n  <\/p>\n  <p class=\"wp-caption-text\">\n   Pit&nbsp;2\n  <\/p>\n  <\/div>\n\n<p>Unfortunately (but understandably), you cannot really see the statues up close. This is only possible in the (hardly excavated) Pit&nbsp;2, were some statues are shown in glass cases. If you manage to squeeze past the tour groups, you can at least see some statues in more detail.<\/p>\n<p>Pit&nbsp;3 is rather small, with just a few dozen statues (instead of a few thousand as in Pit&nbsp;1). Among these are some more Terracotta warriors.
