Today in the morning, I had something close to beach weather for the first time: No winds, and (almost) clear skies. Therefore, I decided to go hiking.<\/p>\n

I opted for an exursion to the Caldera of Bandama, the remnants of the last significant vulcanic eruption on the island of Gran Canaria (some 2,000 years ago). Since then, there has been no vulcanic activity on the island. So, the caldera is safe to explore – both from within and from above.<\/p>\n
