However, some people prefer to travel by other means of transport.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>On my trip, I met some people travelling around a country or a certain region by bike. Personally, this way of travelling does not appeal to me&nbsp;&#8211; but I like reading about the adventures of others, and I am in awe of their determination and power:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n  The American <a class=\"www\" href=\"http:\/\/recyclingtheworld.us\/\">David Byrne<\/a> is currently travelling around the world by bike&nbsp;&#8211; for the second time (!) after his initial <abbr>RTW<\/abbr> trip in the 1970s.\n <\/li>\n<li>\n  The <a class=\"www\" href=\"https:\/\/www.crazyguyonabike.com\/doc\/familyadventure\">Vogel family<\/a> is currently cycling on the <span xml:lang=\"es\" lang=\"es\">Panamericana<\/span>&nbsp;&#8211; all the way from Alaska to Argentina, together with their ten-year-old twins.\n <\/li>\n<li>\n  <a class=\"www\" href=\"http:\/\/downtheroad.org\/\">Tim&nbsp;&amp; Cindie Travis<\/a> are travelling around the world on their bikes since the end of March&nbsp;2002 (!)&nbsp;&#8211; and, apparently, have no intention to return home just yet.\n <\/li>\n<li>\n  But there are far more &quot;<a class=\"www\" href=\"http:\/\/recyclingtheworld.us\/cyclists.php\">Long Distance Bikers<\/a>&quot; currently biking all over the world.
