Winter has not yet left Yellowstone National Park<\/a> either – at least during the night with lows down to 19° F<\/abbr> (-7° C<\/abbr>). During the day, however, it was nice and sunny, and we could thoroughly enjoy the world's oldest national park.<\/p>\n

The national park has a lot to offer. First, there are numerous volcanic features, for example fumeroles, bubbling mud pools, hot springs and (of course) geysers. At the same time, there is also a very diverse fauna. Most frequently, we encountered bison and deer. Moreover, there are also Grizzly bears (which we did not run across, unfortunately – or thank God?), moose and wolves – at least in theory, we did not see any of them.<\/p>\n

We have visited various regions of the (huge) parks, including the Mammoth Hot Springs with its terraces, the Norris Geyser Basin, and – last, but not least – the Geyser Basin around Old Faithful. There, we could see numerous geysers, (at least) four of which erupted during our stay.<\/p>\n
