I rectified this oversight today (on a day off) and went on a bike ride there.<!--more--><\/p>\n  <div class=\"wp-bkab-quer_re wp-caption alignright single-image\">\n  <p class=\"image\">\n   <a href=\"20250416_110101\/\" class=\"lightbox-link\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"img360x270\" src=\"..\/..\/..\/..\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/20250416_110101-360x270.jpg\" width=\"360\" height=\"270\" alt=\"[Foto]\" title=\"Josefsteg\" \/><\/a>\n  <\/p>\n  <p class=\"wp-caption-text\">\n   Josefsteg\n  <\/p>\n  <\/div>\n\n<p>I started my tour at the <a class=\"www\" href=\"https:\/\/www.donauauen.at\/en\/visit\/national-park-house-wien-lobau\"><span xml:lang=\"de\" lang=\"de\">wien-lobAU<\/span> National Park House<\/a>. From there, I wanted to head to the <span xml:lang=\"de\" lang=\"de\">Panozzalacke<\/span> first. However, after I spotted a signpost to the nearby <span xml:lang=\"de\" lang=\"de\">Dechantlacke<\/span>, I stopped by there first. This turned out to be a truly idyllic spot. However, since the path became increasingly narrow, I did not dare continue cycling (since cycling is not permitted on all trails in the national park). So, I cycled back to the main trail, and followed the signs to the <span xml:lang=\"de\" lang=\"de\">Panozzalacke<\/span>.<\/p>\n  <div class=\"wp-bkab-quer_li wp-caption alignleft single-image\">\n  <p class=\"image\">\n   <a href=\"20250416_112426\/\" class=\"lightbox-link\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"img360x270\" src=\"..\/..\/..\/..\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/20250416_112426-360x270.jpg\" width=\"360\" height=\"270\" alt=\"[Foto]\" title=\"Panozzalacke\" \/><\/a>\n  <\/p>\n  <p class=\"wp-caption-text\">\n   Panozzalacke\n  <\/p>\n  <\/div>\n\n<p>I probably should have familiarized myself with the map, though: The cycle path<a href=\"#footnt2\">(**)<\/a> makes quite a detour. Looking back, it would have been wiser to dismount at some point and push my bike a bit along a hiking trail. In the end, though, I reached the <span xml:lang=\"de\" lang=\"de\">Panozzalacke<\/span> from the other side, and explored it a bit on foot.<\/p>\n  <div class=\"wp-bkab-quer_re wp-caption alignright single-image\">\n  <p class=\"image\">\n   <a href=\"20250416_110619\/\" class=\"lightbox-link\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"img360x237\" src=\"..\/..\/..\/..\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/20250416_110619-360x237.jpg\" width=\"360\" height=\"237\" alt=\"[Foto]\" title=\"Lobau\" \/><\/a>\n  <\/p>\n  <p class=\"wp-caption-text\">\n   Lobau\n  <\/p>\n  <\/div>\n\n<p>After that, I headed east to the outskirts of <span xml:lang=\"de\" lang=\"de\">Gro\u00df-Enzersdorf<\/span>. This town was perfect for a lunch break&nbsp;&#8211; even though the Greek taverna I had chosen beforehand looked a bit more upscale than I expected it to be. Still, I was served food even in my cycling gear. Feeling refreshed and energized, I was then able to set off back home.<\/p>\n<p>On my way back I finally realized just how big a detour I had taken on the outward journey: I soon ended up back on the same path.
