When you are travelling, you can learn quite a few things. For me, my stay in Dubrovnik<\/span> meant learning some things about the city that I did not expect – mainly because these were things a travel guide will not really talk about.<\/p>\n

  1. \n Dubrovnik<\/span> can be a bit depressing, especially if you are travelling alone, and arrive in the evening in the rain.\n <\/li>\n
  2. \n Dubrovnik<\/span> Old Town is basically one big pizzeria.\n <\/li>\n
  3. \n Even if it rains, there are a lot of tourists strolling in the streets of Dubrovnik<\/span> at night.\n <\/li>\n
  4. \n If you think that Dubrovnik<\/span> is full of tourists on a rainy evening, wait for 9.00 a.m.<\/abbr> on the next (sunny) morning. Only then, you may know what "a lot of tourists" actually means.\n <\/li>\n
  5. \n If you already have adjusted your threshold for "a lot of tourists" at 9.00 a.m.<\/abbr>, you may want to adjust it even further just two hours later.\n <\/li>\n
  6. \n If you leave early enough in the day, you can still enjoy a two hours long walk on the city walls.<\/p>\n

  7. \n A cruise is definitely not for me if in every destination such a huge number of tourists are crowding the city.\n <\/li>\n
  8. \n If you cannot stand the crowds in the Old Town any longer, a short boat ride to Lokrum<\/span> might help. Compared to the Old Town, you are almost alone on this small island.<\/p>\n
