That even my Austria<\/em>holiday begins in another country might surprise even those familiar with my travel style. But the Tyrolean Au\u00dferfern<\/span> region, my first destination, is actually easier to reach from Germany by train – at least theoretically.<\/p>\n

Of course, Deutsche Bahn<\/span> had something to say about that. However, it was at least a (very) scenic route.<\/p>\n
