I am child of the 1980s, and grew up in (and still live in) Vienna, Austria. My greatest passion is travelling. This blog is therefore mainly dedicated to my travelling adventures.\r\n\r\n<\/p>\r\n<p>\r\n\r\n\r\nI just love to explore foreign (and, if possible, far away) countries. I have already spent my vacations on six different continents, and have (quite literally) travelled all around the globe: first in an eight-months-long <a href=\"\/en\/trips\/rtw2008\/\"><abbr title=\"Round the World\">RTW<\/abbr> trip from September\u00a02008 to May\u00a02009<\/a>, and again in another <a href=\"\/en\/trips\/rtw2023\/\"><abbr title=\"Round the World\">RTW<\/abbr> trip from October\u00a02023 to Februar\u00a02024<\/a>. But also during my regular vacations, I strive to get to know new places all over the world.\r\n\r\n<\/p>\r\n<p>\r\n\r\n\r\nAt the same time, I really enjoy my everyday life in my home town Vienna. Most of my friends live there, and I like to meet them <abbr title=\"for example\">e.g.<\/abbr> for board game nights, going to the theater, or simply for a chat. In summer, I take advantage of [span lang=\"de\"]Donauinsel[\/span] for biking and inline skating, or for swimming in and stand-up paddling on [span lang=\"de\"]Alte Donau[\/span]. Finally, every once in a while, I also go hiking at the foothills of the Austrian alps close to Vienna \u2013 beautiful scenery cannot only be found abroad, after all!\r\n\r\n<\/p>\r\n<p>\r\n\r\n\r\nWhen I am not roaming the world, I am spending my days as a software developer: After my studies of Technical Mathematics at [www href=\"https:\/\/www.tuwien.ac.at\/en\/\"]<abbr title=\"University of Technology\">UT<\/abbr>\u00a0Vienna[\/www], I have worked at [www href=\"https:\/\/profactor.at\/\" lang=\"de\"]<abbr title=\"Production Factory Technology Organisation\">PROFACTOR<\/abbr>[\/www], a research company in [span lang=\"de\"]Steyr[\/span] (Austria), for three years, focusing on computer simulation and production planning.
