      In Belgrade, I spent only 14 hours – not much, but enough for a first impression of the Serbian capital.

      My first stop in Montenegro was in Kolašin, which I used as a base for exploring the Biogradska Gora National Park.

      From Kolašin, I continued by train through the Morača Canyon – a truly spectacular trip!

      My last stop in the Montenegrin mountains was in Plav, amidst theProkletije mountains.

      My third short stop in the Montenegrin capital Podgorica was reason enough for a short, two-hour city tour.

      After exploring Lake Skadar by boat in the previous year, I explored one of its tributaries, Rijeka Crnojevića, by kayak this year.

  • June 11 – 13, 2011   –   Bay of Kotor

      I spent the last two days of my stay again in Kotor. Compared to the mountains, this area is truly overrun with tourists.
