So far, I have not visited that much of France on my France vacation: After reaching France the day before, I left the country again today: I went on a day trip to Monaco. Continue reading Allô, c’est Monaco

Is it fun, a day in Milan?
Anyone who has followed my recent travels will not be surprised that my vacation on the French Riviera begins in Milan: Currently, there is simply no way to get any closer using an ÖBB night train. So, I took this opportunity to get a small taste of this Italian fashion capital. Continue reading Is it fun, a day in Milan?
Stockholm (also) by bike
In (early) summer, Stockholm presents itself quite differently than in (late) winter eleven years ago: While the wind can still be (relatively) fresh, it is still no comparison to the icy-grey Stockholm I experienced back then. Continue reading Stockholm (also) by bike

Touristic Scotland

Duirinish/Dunvegan Double
As I have been hiking quite a lot in the past two days, I only did some shorter hikes today. For that, I went to the Duirinish peninsula and to Dunvegan. Continue reading Duirinish/Dunvegan Double
Castle and Coast
Today was actually the ideal hiking weather: bright blue sky basically the whole day. However, the (longer) hike I had in mind would have meant another hour’s drive (each way) on single lane roads, and I did not want to do that again. Instead, I visited a sight closer to my accommodation, Duart Castle, and simply combined that with a short hike. Continue reading Castle and Coast
