August 9 – 11, 2005 – Kootenay
-
Kootenay is situated just west of the Rocky Mountains, and has also an impressing scenery (with mountains and glaciers) to offer, for example at Mt. Revelstoke ...
-
... or in Yoho National Park.

August 8 & 18 – 19, 2005 – Thompson
-
We spent a night in Thompson right at the beginning of our tour. Most of our time in that region, though, we spent in Wells Gray Provincal Park during an overnight canoe trip.

-
August 20 – 21, 2005 – Lower Mainland
-
In Lower Mainland, we spent one and a half days in and around Whistler.
-
-
August 22 – 23, 2005 – Vancouver
-
Our next stop was in Vancouver, the only larger city in the west of Canada – and at the same time, one of the most beautiful cities on the north-american continent.
-
-
August 24 – 28, 2005 – Vancouver Island
-
Finally, we spent a few days in Vancouver Island which is – thanks to its rainforest and its beaches – very much unlike the Rocky Mountains. However, that does not mean that it is less interesting.
