I spent my first few days in Taiwan with a friend in the capital city Taipei.

After that, I explored the country alone for eleven days, during which I visited the following places (among others): ...

Finally, I spent some more days with my friend in Taipei, exploring the city's surroundings (when I was not lying in bed with a fever).
