... marveled at the steep cliffs and black beaches of Dyrhólaey, ...

... hiked on a glacier in Skaftafell, ...

... and rejoiced in the mountains around Jöklasel.

On the East coast, we observed puffins, ...

... visited cold and warm waterfalls, ...

... and have seen interesting rock formations on Rauðanes peninsula.

In the North of Iceland, we hiked in Ásbyrgi, ...

... enjoyed the volcanic regions around Mývatn, ...

... and visited Glaumbær museum.

For the way back to Reykjavík, we did not take the fastest route via the ring road. Instead, we took the Kjölur gravel road through the interior.

At the end of our trip, we did the tourist thing, and visited the sights of the Golden Circle: the waterfall Gullfoss, the geyser Strokkur, and Þingvellir.
