January 7, 2008 – Leaving Puerto Montt

At noon, I wanted to get "a small lunch" together with some of my travel companions. We ended up tasting the local speciality, Curanto, which was a huge meal made out of meat, mussels, and potatoes.

In the afternoon, we boarded the Navimag ferry, which should take us down the Chilean coast.

January 8, 2008 – Travelling Along the Coast

The first full day aboard the vessel was rather uneventful. So, we had a lot of time for reading, playing cardgames, or writing our diaries.

January 10, 2008 – Reaching Puerto Natales

After three-and-a-half days at sea, we reached our destination Puerto Natales.
