The Swiss state of Bern is much more than "just" the capital city of the same name: In the south, the Swiss Alps are rising up. Especially the area around Interlaken (with its settlements like Grindelwald and Lauterbrunnen, as well as the lakes of Thun and Brienz) is quite popular with tourists.
