I always wanted to visit Switzerland. However, for some reason or another, I never really made it there until May 2006 – even though this was not the first time that I walked on Swiss soil: In summer 1996, I changed trains at Sargans station sometime around 10 p.m. at on my way to Paris.
On my first "real" stay, I finally spent four days in the city of Zürich. Together with some of my travel colleagues from my tour through Western Canada a year before, I also visited the Swiss states of St. Gallen and Schwyz, where we have been hiking and sightseeing.
In June 2024, I finally returned to Switzerland. This time, I spent my time (mostly) in the Swiss states of Lucerne and Bern – but not only in the cities of the same name: This time, I also visited the Swiss Alps.
Some of the pictures taken during my two trips are also on display in a small photo album.
