After flying from Cairns to Alice Springs, we visited the station of the Royal Flying Doctor Service.

After driving from Alice Springs to Uluru, we spent an afternoon around Kata Tjuta (The Olgas).

A whole day dedicated to Uluru: From sunrise to sunset, we explored the area of the Ayers Rock.

A hike around Kings Canyon offers some great views of the area.

We left Kings Canyon using the so-called Mereenie Loop, a sand-and-dust road, going to the West MacDonnells.

On the way, we also stopped at Gosse Bluff, which is (in a way) formed by the remains of a meteorite blow.

Upon reaching the West MacDonnells, we visited Glen Helen Gorge and Ormiston Gorge.

Across the West MacDonnells – a scenic route indeed, which could hardly be any more beautiful!

After visiting the West MacDonnells, it is time for the East MacDonnells as well – even though just for a rather short time ...
