Boston

Boston, the capital of Massachusetts, is definitely worth a visit: It is the most European city that I got to know in the United States, and this alone makes it a lovable city.

Essex County

Salem is known for the Witch Trials in the 17th century. Today, its history still attracts many tourists: Numerous witch museums invite them for a visit.

Gloucester is one of the many picturesque little towns on Cape Ann.

Rockport is also situated on Cape Ann, and is mostly known for its fishing hut at the harbour, "Motif No. 1".

Plymouth
-
Plymouth was the place of arrival of some of the first pilgrims. Today, it still offers an excellent insight into the lives of these settlers (thanks to a marvelous open-air museum).
