For two weeks, I was studying Spanish at the Escuela de Español FUNDECI/GAIA which is situated at the shores of the Laguna de Apoyo.

The city of Matagalpa is nicely situated in the mountains. Hence, there are quite a few hiking possibilities around.

I have spent four days in the city of León with some sightseeing (visiting the numerous churches), at the beach (on the Pacific coast), and a trip to nearby volcanoes.

Granada is a city of tourists.

I really enjoyed myself on the Isla de Ometepe, which is situated in the middle of Lago de Nicaragua. In my opinion, the island is a must for every traveller coming to Nicaragua.

In San Juan del Sur, I have studied Spanish for another week – this time at the Spanish school "Spanish Ya".
