My stay in Norway started in Trondheim, where I visited a fellow student of mine on her study abroad. Already the descent by plane was very typical of Norway – simply great!

In the evening, I (together with my fellow student) went on a short stroll through the city of Trondheim.

We spent the weekend on a hut in the middle of the Norwegian wilderness, ...

... also taking the opportunity to go canoeing.

On the next day, a comfortable five-hour hike took us past snow-covered mountains, ...

... along small creeks, ...

... down into the valley, and back to civilization.

In order to get from Trondheim to Bergen, I went on the Hurtigrute, a Norwegian Postal Ship. During the trip, I had the pleasure of seeing a bit of the Norwegian Western coast.

In the afternoon of my arrival in Bergen, I went for a short stroll in town, partly in the typical rain.

Starting in Bergen, I went on a day trip to Sogn og Fjordane Starting in Myrdal, at 866 metres above sea level, ...

... I went on the Flåmsbana to Flåm right at the beginning of the Aurlandsfjord, ...

... and from there on through Sognefjord back to Bergen.

After just two nights, I had to say farewell to Bergen, and took the Bergensbanen to my final destination in Norway, Oslo.

In Oslo, I visited the museum peninsula Bygdøy, ...

... the Vigeland parc in the West of the city, ...

... and the ski jump at Holmenkollen.

My last day in Olso was a bit rainy, unfortunately. So, I just visited Akershus Festning and several museums.
