Arches NP

Our first day in Moab was dedicated to Arches NP. This national parks boasts lots of quite impressive stone arches.

As the park is quite large, and its attractions are distributed over the whole are, we drove around by car, and did some shorter hikes in between. This time, we no longer had to hike through snow. We rather scrambled over the red rocks that are very characteristic of this area.

These red rocks glowed brilliantly in the evening light – at least while the sun managed to find a way through the clouds. Even here in the desert, it was rather cloudy and rainy!
