The Aukštaitija Bicycle Chain Massacre

My last stop in Lithuania was Aukštaitija National Park, which boasts more than 100 lakes that are mostly interconnected by small streams. Therefore, the best way to explore this region is by an (overnight) canoe trip. Unfortunately, I did not have enough time for that, so I simply rented a bike.

What I could not know, though, is that this trip would be more unnerving than expected due to a broken bike chain. Fortunately, I met a group of very helpful Polish tourists who fixed the broken chain for me. For that, I am very grateful.

My second day in the region I spent relaxing around Paplovinis Lake directly behind my hotel.

  1. Hi! Also, erstens mal wow, deine Abenteuer sind immer abwechslungsreich… und du hast dann auch immer eine gute Spontanlösung parat (freundliche Leute zB). Übrigens, wen hast du denn getroffen? Danke für die Karte! LG, BB & Bonki
