I am a Hobbit

After "praticing" yesterday (with lunching twice), I went to see Hobbiton today.

After shooting the "Lord of the Rings" trilogy, all buildings were demolished, and only the holes in the ground remained. When filming the current movies of "The Hobbit", however, someone must have recognized the enormous tourist value. Thanks to that, it is now possible to wander through the "real" Hobbiton: I was passing numerous hobbit holes (among them, of course, the most famous of them all: Bag End), strolled over the lawn with the big Party Tree, went over the bridge next to the mill, and finally had some (ginger) beer in the "Green Dragon", the Hobbiton tavern.

This is, of course, all very touristy, probably also quite geeky – but nonetheless way cool!
