The short time I spent in Durban (just 14 hours) has not left much time for exploration. However, what I have seen does not really make me want to see more.

On the one hand, the beach promenade along the Indian Ocean is very nice. On the other hand, getting there means having to walk through the streets of Durban – and with the numerous bums, alcohol and/or drug addicts, and barbed wire fences atop the walls, this is not such a pleasant experience.
