Winter has not yet left Yellowstone National Park either – at least during the night with lows down to 19° F (-7° C). During the day, however, it was nice and sunny, and we could thoroughly enjoy the world's oldest national park.

The national park has a lot to offer. First, there are numerous volcanic features, for example fumeroles, bubbling mud pools, hot springs and (of course) geysers. At the same time, there is also a very diverse fauna. Most frequently, we encountered bison and deer. Moreover, there are also Grizzly bears (which we did not run across, unfortunately – or thank God?), moose and wolves – at least in theory, we did not see any of them.

We have visited various regions of the (huge) parks, including the Mammoth Hot Springs with its terraces, the Norris Geyser Basin, and – last, but not least – the Geyser Basin around Old Faithful. There, we could see numerous geysers, (at least) four of which erupted during our stay.
