Back to Cape Town
Like last year, I ended my trip to South Africa in Cape Town. This time, I focused a bit more on the recent history of the city than the main tourist sites: I did some walking tours, and visited Robben Island and the District Six Museum. Continue reading Back to Cape Town

Elephants Revisited

Today, it was again rather rainy. Therefore, I opted for a rather slow day, and visited only three animal sanctuaries: Birds of Eden, Monkeyland, and Jukani. Continue reading Birds and Monkeys and Predators! Oh My!
Mountains of seals
Today, I went on a hike that I was looking forward to since I started planning this trip: a hike in the Robberg Nature Reserve. Continue reading Mountains of seals

One advantage of the Garden Route is that everything is quite close together. However, in case of bad weather, this is also a disadvantage: You are likely to have bad weather everywhere. Yesterday, this was confirmed for me, unfortunately. Luckily, the sunshine returned much sooner than anticipated. So, I could enjoy Knysna in the sun today. Continue reading Knysna, or: Thank God for the wrong weather forecast
