One advantage of the Garden Route is that everything is quite close together. However, in case of bad weather, this is also a disadvantage: You are likely to have bad weather everywhere. Yesterday, this was confirmed for me, unfortunately. Luckily, the sunshine returned much sooner than anticipated. So, I could enjoy Knysna in the sun today. Wet in Wilderness
Considering the fact that it was raining quite a lot while I was in Wilderness, I was quite lucky with the weather, as I even caught a bit of sun. Still, I was not able to do everything on my agenda due to the inclement weather. Continue reading Wet in Wilderness
Whale Wind ahead!

My last excursion led me to Sapa, where I explored the mountains with their rice fields on a hike guided by a member of the local community, the Black Hmong. I really enjoyed this area, and it was a fitting end to my Vietnam trip. Continue reading Hiking with the Black Hmong
My first trip to Africa

(Deutsch) Die Perle Südafrikas
My three days in Cape Town were almost to short to get to know the city properly. Still, I can say that it will be difficult for any other South African city to compete with Cape Town: its location between Atlantic Ocean and Table Mountain is extraordinary, it is quite safe (for South African standards), and there is lots to see.
