My third capital on this trip – sightseeing is slowly getting hard work! Therefore, I chose a rather relaxed itinerary. Nonetheless, I have seen a bit of the city.

In Old Town (and beyond), a lot of buildings in Art Nouveau style can be found.

In other districts (like Maskavas Forštate), wood is predominant, as it was forbidden to use any other building material outside the city walls (up to the 19^th century).

Finally, I already could see some preparations for the midsummer celebrations which will take place this weekend: a market in Old Town, and some folk dance performance in the main square.
