There was one more city in Sicily to visit! Given its rich history, this city really should not be missing from any traveler’s itinerary for (eastern) Sicily: Syracuse.

Already the Roman statesman Cicero praised this city. In fact, the quote used as a title of this blog entry is from him. Even if the city now may have fewer (!) inhabitants than it did in antiquity, it still has its charm.
