On my second day in Styria, I explored the Styrian capital Graz for a couple of hours.
I started with the most important sight in the city: the Schlossberg with its famous clock tower (and other remains of the former castle). From up there, you also have a nice view of the city.
Having visited the Schlossberg, there was not much left to do – at least according to the official website of Graz Tourism: Apart from the Schlossberg, this page mainly concentrates on shopping and food (and also mentions a guided city tour and some museums). But also without a guide (and without going shopping), a stroll through the old town is quite pleasant. I even discovered some rather curious sights like a twin spiral staircase.
When walking the city, you can also see why food features that prominently on the list: Numerous restaurants are lining the streets where you can sight outside in the sun. Should the portions be too small, there are an almost equal number of ice cream parlours available.
