In less than twelve hours, I will depart on my round-the-world trip. Just a few hours before, I am already getting more and more excited (because I am really looking forward to this trip), but also a bit more anxious (because I will be spending so much time alone abroad). However, there is still so much to prepare and organize, so that there is hardly any time left for being nervous. Continue reading DON’T PANIC!?!

Damberg Time Trial
A few weeks before leaving Steyr for good, I am beginning to appreciate the advantages of living in this small town. The close mountains, as well as the valleys of the Enns and Steyr rivers, offer great opportunities for cycling. Continue reading Damberg Time Trial
Just two more month …
In two months to the day, i.e. on September 25, 2008, I will depart for my longest and farthest trip – a true Round-the-World trip! I am planning to blog about my travels on these pages (however, quite possibly only in German). So, stay tuned for reading about my experiences in Taiwan, Singapore, Sydney, Fiji, New Zealand, the Cook Islands, and maybe even Central America.
Patagonia XXL
Just over three months after my return from my trip to Patagonia, I have finally managed to finish my online diary (in German) of this trip. Supported by numerous pictures, this diary tells of my experiences during my holiday in this region which is indeed blessed with lots of unspoilt nature and a beautiful landscape.
A Weekend in London
On the past weekend, a friend from London celebrated her 30th birthday. Of course, I could not resist the temptation to fly to London for two days on this occasion. So, I also escaped the storm "Emma", as the weather in London was great: sunny, and only a bit of wind. However, on my flight back to Linz the storm took its toll, as we were redirected to Graz (after two unsuccessful attempts to land in Linz).
Travelling Overseas
From Summer 2003 to Winter 2007/08, I was travelling overseas a lot: a term abroad in New York (including a trip through California before the start of the term), a month each in Australia and South America, and trips to both Western and Eastern Canada. But I also spent some time abroad in Europe.
Patagonia in 36 Pictures
Back home
Yesterday, I returned back in Austria from my holidays in Patagonia. Now, I will take advantage of the three days off that I have still left in order to go through the 3000 pictures I took during my stay. Hopefully in the near future, some of these will also be shown here on this website.
