Monday morning instead of Sunday night, the new Terminal 3 instead of the old Terminal 2 – what a difference to the previous year!
Finally, the security check is right at the entrance, so that you can buy some drinks to take aboard. Moreover, the shops are not only modern, but also open – even though they resemble the typical airport shops all over the world. Still: That is more like an airport of a cosmopolitan city!
Actually, I should already be sitting in the plane to Dubai. As I was lying in bed with a cold for the past five days, however, I decided to grant myself two additional days of rest at home. Therefore, I cancelled my stop-over in Dubai. So, my trip to New Zealand will finally start on January 28.
I just booked my flight: In exactly six month, I will be leaving for an eight-weeks long holiday in New Zealand (with a short, two-day stopover in Dubai on the way there) – thanks to a two-month long unpaid vacation.
Even though my RTW trip is really over now, I would like to continue blogging. Continue reading I keep on blogging!
Slowly, my RTW trip is coming to an end: From the time of publishing this blog entry until my scheduled arrival in Vienna (if the flight arrives precisely on time) are just some 1,234,567 seconds. In other words, I will return to Vienna late on May 18, 2009.
In two months to the day, i.e. on September 25, 2008, I will depart for my longest and farthest trip – a true Round-the-World trip! I am planning to blog about my travels on these pages (however, quite possibly only in German). So, stay tuned for reading about my experiences in Taiwan, Singapore, Sydney, Fiji, New Zealand, the Cook Islands, and maybe even Central America.
Yesterday, I returned back in Austria from my holidays in Patagonia. Now, I will take advantage of the three days off that I have still left in order to go through the 3000 pictures I took during my stay. Hopefully in the near future, some of these will also be shown here on this website.
Today, I am flying to Buenos Aires (via Madrid) for a four-weeks-long holiday in Argentina and Chile. I will spend most of my time in Patagonia. However, I will also visit Buenos Aires and the Iguazú waterfalls.
I will try to blog regularly (in German) about my experiences on this trip. If interested, please visit my German blog.
