Today was a rather untypical day for me: It was focused on tourist sights and museums. Still, I also managed to squeeze in a short hike in the morning. In the afternoon, I visited Hohenwerfen Castle. In the evening, I finally participated in the "Lange Nacht der Museen" (Long Night of Museums). Continue reading Long Day of Museums

A Day in a Princedom
I started my trip through Austria with a day in – Liechtenstein! This might seem illogical, but why not visit this small country when I am close by: I arrived this morning by train in Feldkirch, just across the border from Liechtenstein. So, I spent a day exploring some of its town – and in the end, also Feldkirch in Austria. Continue reading A Day in a Princedom
Between a rock and a wet place

Business Trip to Belgium
On rather short notice, I got the opportunity for a business trip to Belgium. I took this chance to also spend two extra days exploring the country. Today, I spent my time in the beautiful city of Ghent. Continue reading Business Trip to Belgium
Old caves, new castle
I have finally arrived at the last destination of this year’s stay in Georgia: Borjomi. From there, I went on an excursion to the impressive cave city of Vardzia. I also stopped at some other sights on the route, like the newly rebuilt (and insanely kitschy) Akhaltsikhe Castle. Continue reading Old caves, new castle
