For two weeks, I was hiking in the Annapurna region (on a group tour). After that, I explored Kathmandu valley for just under a week (on my own).

Mountains and Monasteries of the Caucasus
In fall 2014, I explored the Caucasus for two weeks. During that time, I was not only hiking in the mountains. I also explored lots of churches and monasteries, some of which were truly spectacular.
Touring around Iceland
In summer 2014, a group of friend and me spent just under three weeks in Iceland. During our stay, we drove around the whole island in a rental car.
From City to Sea
My vacation in Croatia was rather atypical for me. Apart from exploring some cities and national parks, I mainly spent my time relaxing on the beach. Pure indulgence!
There and Back Again
Thanks to two months of unpaid vacation, I could spend eight weeks in New Zealand in February/March 2013. Again, I really fell in love with this beautiful country and its friendly people.
Exploring Europe
After an initial trip through the United States in Spring 2010, I explored Europe on several trips between autumn 2010 and summer 2012: I have been to the Balkans and the Baltics, to Spain, and to Norway.
Backpacking in the Baltics
For three weeks, I was backpacking in Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia.
Hiking in Andalusia
My first stay in Spain was not a beach holiday, but rather a hiking trip.
Kraków and the High Tatras
In September 2011, I spent a week in Kraków and the High Tatras. Now, some short blog entries are finally available telling more about this trip.
The Beauty of the North
In July 2011, I finally returned to Norway (more than six years after my first visit). This time, I stayed for two weeks, and visited the south of the country (Bergen, Sognefjord, Jotunheimen National Park, Stavanger, and Lysefjord). Once again, I was stunned by the beauty of the Norwegian landscape.
