Stuttgart? Why Stuttgart?

I should actually be on the night train from Brussels just before Vienna – but I am just getting on the train in Stuttgart. So, obviously something has gone wrong (again). The blame lies (again) with the railway infrastructure in need of repair– more specifically, the flood damage on the railway line between Salzburg and Vienna. Continue reading Stuttgart? I am back home!

After 18 flights, (roughly) 60 trips with boats and other watercraft, 37 days in a rental car, and more than 250 trips in other means of ground transport (e.g. train, bus, taxi, subway, or bicycle), and travelling almost 44,000 km by air, about 800 km by water, and surely over 10,000 km by land, I have finally returned to Austria. Now, it is time to look back at the high- and lowlights of my trip. Continue reading I am back home!

School Eviction of Another Kind

The last Friday was indeed a Friday the 13th for the Escuela de Español FUNDECI/GAIA: A strike of the Spanish teachers was followed by the eviction of the school from its main building. A new owner has been assigned by court! Within a few hours, we had to vacate the building completely (including all furniture). Continue reading School Eviction of Another Kind
